IT ALL STARTED WITH A CHEF FROM FRANCE
Valentine Aguirre started the Old Surrey back in 1975 and has never looked back. The Old Surrey Restaurant has been Val's baby ever since. The average life span of a restaurant may only be five years but Valentine has proven over the years that being dedicated to excellent service and quality cuisine you can create a restaurant that lasts decades.
THE TRADITION OF QUALITY CARRIES ON
Philip Aguirre took over as the new owner of the Old Surrey Restaurant on January 1st, 2007. Following in his father's footsteps Philip has dedicated himself to mastering the culinary arts. From a very young age Philip was involved in the restaurant where he practically grew up. It is not uncommon to see two generations of Aguirre's working side by side.

Green queen & Kalamata olives mixed with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes & cranberry goat cheese, served with warm crisp French baguette

Fresh tomatoes mixed with, feta, basil, garlic, olive oil and slashes of balsamic served over warm crisp French baguette

Grilled romaine hearts with our classic Caesar dressing, capers and heirloom tomatoestopped with baked parmesan & Ryder Lake Farms bacon
Beet Salad - $9
With mixed greens, goat cheese, honey coated pecans, artichoke, & cherry tomato tossed with a red wine vinaigrette
Qualicum Bay Scallops - $12
Garnished with a saffron cream sauce & salsa verde
Chef Creek Pan Fried Oysters - $12
Breadcrumb & corn meal crust served with a roasted garlic chipotle aioli
Pacific Crab Baked Avocado Dip - $15
Made with white wine & a hint of Dijon topped with tarragon hollandaise and melted emmenthal cheese, served with homemade chips

Coated with black & white sesame served with a miso soy glaze & fresh lemon
